The Challenge
The Stolberg is a venue that trades 7-days a week. A key challenge when providing audio solutions to this great venue was to minimize any impact on daily trading.
With multiple function rooms, a sports bar, dining halls and a luscious outdoor area, a detailed plan was required to reach the goals Element Audio had set out achieve.

The Solution
An integral part of Element Audio’s design phase was identifying a suitable timeline to avoid any disruptions to normal trading.
As a result, a timeline was devised that allowed works to be carried out over a 6-month period. Our team worked in conjunction with management at The Stolberg to ensure we were carrying our works on rooms that did not have bookings during an allocated period.
Being such a busy venue with frequent bookings, this challenge was met with the upmost professionalism and resulted in zero disruptions to general trading throughout the installation period.

A reliable combination of Outline and QSC products make up the core of the system throughout all areas at The Stolberg.
As with all hospitality-focused projects the Element Audio team embarks on, key hardware choices were made as not to disrupt the serving of meals and beverages throughout.
The downstairs public space is serviced by EIDOS118 S Sub Woofers and DVS10 Loudspeakers that are able to provide both capable and non-intrusive sound throughout.
In the function rooms, The Stolberg already had existing sub woofers built into the stage. Our design team paired the existing sub woofers with EIDOS12 Loudspeakers as the main FOH (Front Of House) with multiple IS8 Compact Loudspeakers as delays.
Outside in the garden courtyard area, the biggest challenge was longevity & reliability in the harsh conditions of Melbourne weather. This challenge was easily solved by the QSC AD-S8T series of surface mount speakers. The ‘AD’ or ‘Acoustic Design’ series offer IP54 protection against water and the elements.
All function rooms and zoned areas were networked and connected via. BSS Soundweb integration. Again, our team at Element Audio was proud to have fully customized a suitable control interface to the specific needs of The Stolberg.
Upon completion of the installation, The Stolberg has had no reported issues and have been trading in large volume without hassle!
