The Location
Not your average pizza parlour, the Gisborne Collective team have created an exciting social hub within the Western outskirts of Melbourne.
The Challenge
Finding the right equipment to suit a restaurant that morphs into a social hub after dark is a tricky task.
The design needed to be powerful enough to fill the venue when DJ’s are playing and bodies fill the room, while also providing inoffensive audio during dining services.
The Solution
Element Audio founder, owner & director, Lachlan Elmore, installed and commissioned this system while directing the now defunct Bounce Audio Productions.
The hardware selection sees one of our favourite brands in QSC being the backbone of the entire system.
Amplification is provided by the ever-reliable QSC PLD series, while QSC AD-S6T surface mount speakers were also integrated throughout.
Custom mounting brackets and fly-frames were designed to fly the QSC Acoustic Design series of Sub Woofers.
Two of the Sub Woofers were hung at strategic locations throughout the venue, offering respectable low-end coverage, while also acting as a discrete solution that did not impact the dining experience of the establishment.
A key component of this installation was to ensure that the system could be easily operated by management, kitchen staff and bar staff who are employed at the venue.
Lachlan ensured his design was controllable and usable by the general operator with no previous audio experience required.
This allows for the Gisborne Collective team to quickly control the system depending on the number of patrons and style of functions within the venue.
The Result
We let our work do the talking.
Gisborne is a beautiful town just a short drive from Melbourne’s metropolitan area. Gisborne Collective contribute to the beauty of this town, while offering some of the best pizza we have ever tasted in Australia!
